acupuncture treatment is effective for certain conditions. The following is a summary of a
few of these disorders:
Nervous System & Muscular Disorders
Headache, migraine, weakness after a stroke, certain facial paralysis or nerve pain,
inflamed nerve endings, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back
pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis, postoperative pain.
Gastrointestinal Disorders
Inflammation of the stomach or colon, chronic duodenal ulcers, constipation, diarrhea,
nausea & vomiting due to pregnancy or chemotherapy.
Respiratory Disorders
Uncomplicated bronchial asthma, colds, flus.
Ear, Nose & Throat Disorders
Earaches, allergies, sinus inflammation, toothaches, postoperative dental pain.
Eye Disorders
Conjunctivitis, uncomplicated cataracts.
Acupuncture has also been used for centuries to treat gynecological conditions such as
PMS and menopause, and has been successful in the treatment of smoking cessation.
